Rehabilitation and upgrading of desert Highway (Road 15) Jordan Contract 1

The work consisted of rehabilitation and improvement of 4 highway lanes from the Airport interchange (station 0+000) to the Karak interchange (station 65+000). It included earthworks, base course, pavement, road furniture and safety features and other related work.

Scope of Work
  • The rehabilitation and/ or construction of pavement layers for 65 km including construction of road aggregate,
    sub-base, base courses, bituminous concrete binder and wearing courses, tack and prime coats, etc.
  • All earthworks necessary to the completion of the work, including embankment, roadway excavation including
    removal and disposal of unsuitable material and dirt within existing median, existing asphalt pavement, speed
    bumps, ditches, sub-grade preparation, back-filling, filling and compaction, watering, rolling, sheathing, and
    sub-grade and slope finish. It also includes existing curbstone, pavement, concrete ditches, and closing the existing
    U-turn.
  • Clearing and grubbing of the area over where the new embankment and other works are going to be constructed.
    All potential rock-fall zones shall be adequately cleaned from boulders to all other potential falling objects.
  • The construction of service roads for urban areas and underpasses.
  • Installation and furnishing of the highway signs, post assemblies and overhead gantry structures; including construction
    of all necessary concrete and reinforced concrete foundations, and all sign panel lettering.
  • Relocation of existing highway signs, post assemblies, construction of concrete, and reinforced concrete foundation.
  • The construction of pedestrian bridges/underpasses.
  • The furnishing and application, or installation of the traffic marking and raised pavement markers and installation of
    new guardrail.
  • All miscellaneous related works such as maintenance of existing signs including but not limited to cleaning of sign
    plates, repainting of sign posts, etc.
  • The rehabilitation and/ or construction of all necessary drainage structures including pipe and box culverts,
    together with inlet and outlet works, lined and unlined ditches, energy dissipators, storm water drainage facilities,
    grouted rip-rap and all necessary protection works.
  • Maintenance of existing steel guardrail.
As-Salt Ring

The project’s goal was constructing a comprehensive permanent terminal, in accordance with the modern operational aspects in the field. The terminal’s purpose is to import LPG in sufficient quantities to meet the kingdom’s needs. The terminal now has up to 25,000 tons of storage capacity, and has an unloading capacity of 300 cubic meters per hour. It is now able to receive large oil vessel.

Queen Alia International Airport – Northern Runway Rehabilitation

Scope of Work

  • Supply and install of airfield lighting systems in compliance with CAT II operation.

Scope of Work
  • This project comprises the construction of 9.0 km length of new rolling terrain, mountain road and major
    reinforced concrete box culvert of 5 cells 4.0 x 4.0 m and about 400 m length of high reinforced concrete and
    gabion walls.
  • The project was situated in a highly challenging geographical location with profile shapes exceeding 18% of
    unstable soil with a high water table.
  • The project comprises excavation works, embankment construction of an approximate 100 m height, asphalt
    pavement layers, road furniture, and miscellaneous works.
